Research on methods for reducing energy consumption in data centers

Abstract：A data center in Zhangjiakou City,Hebei Province adopts indirect evaporative refrigeration and air conditioning system.According to the actual operation of the air conditioning equipment,the problem analysis method is used to reduce the annual average power usage efficiency(PUE),and the operation optimization measures are proposed to solve the hot spots in the computer room,avoid the hidden hot spots in the computer room,and adjust the operation mode of the air conditioner in different seasons.The results show that the scheme that prioritizes the hot spots in the computer room is feasible to reduce the PUE and can reduce a large number of high temperature alarms,avoid the hidden hot spots in the computer room can further reduce the energy consumption of the internal fan,and adjust the operation mode of the air conditioner in different seasons to reduce the energy consumption of the air conditioner as a whole,but increase the workload of the operation and maintenance personnel.
