Abstract:Co-combustible solid waste of municipal waste and domestic sludge has a high moisture content, making them challenging to ignite. To address this issue, this study focuses on the arch structure improvement of a traditional waste incinerator.A central arch is installed in the throat, and ten flue gas emission holes with a diameter of 700 mm are positioned on the central arch. The rationality of the improved furnace arch structure is validated through numerical simulation and thermal experiments. The results indicate that the middle arch effectively absorbs the heat from high-temperature flue gas and re-radiates the heat to the new fuel layer, thereby raising the temperature inside the incinerator and facilitating the combustion of the mixture of municipal waste and domestic sludge.
