Analysis of the Efficacy of the Combination Therapy of Rituximab and Losartan Potassium in the Treatment of Chronic Glomerulonephritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of rituximab combined with losartan potassium in the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN). Methods A total of 78 CGN patients admitted to our hospital from September 2023 to August 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with losartan potassium, while the study group received rituximab in addition to losartan potassium. The clinical efficacy, renal function, and adverse drug reactions between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 94.87%, which was higher than 76.92% in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, and 24-hour urinary protein in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion The combination of rituximab and losartan potassium in the treatment of CGN can effectively improve clinical efficacy, promote recovery of renal function, and has good safety.
