Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of ultrasound-guided needle aspiration for synovial fluid in Brucella-induced knee joint effusion, and to evaluate its application value in relieving symptoms, improving knee joint function, and preventing complications. Methods A total of 80 patients with Brucella-induced knee joint effusion admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2024 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received conventional knee joint effusion aspiration treatment, while the observation group received ultrasound-guided knee joint effusion aspiration treatment. The pain scores and functional scores of the two groups were compared. Results One month, three months, and six months after surgery, the pain scores of both groups were lower than before the operation, and the functional scores were higher than before the operation. Moreover, the pain scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at the same time points, and the functional scores were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound-guided needle aspiration for synovial fluid in Brucella-induced knee joint effusion shows significant therapeutic effects, which can effectively relieve pain, improve knee joint function, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.
