Abstract:Objective: To explore the effectiveness of endoscopic surgery and craniotomy in the treatment of late-stage spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage in the elderly. Methods: A total of 58 elderly patients with late-stage spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage admitted to our hospital between October 2022 and October 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 29 patients in each group. The control group received craniotomy, while the observation group received endoscopic surgery. The surgical efficacy and complication rates of the two groups were compared. Results: The operation duration of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the intraoperative blood loss was less, the hematoma clearance rate was higher, and the overall complication rate was lower (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Endoscopic surgery is safe and effective for the treatment of late-stage spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage in the elderly, and is worth adopting.
