Comparison of the Effects of Levamlodipine Besylate Tablets and Nifedipine Controlled-release Tablets in the Treatment of Essential Hypertension
WAN Qifang
Abstract:Objective: To compare the efficacy of amlodipine besylate tablets and nifedipine controlled-release tablets in the treatment of primary hypertension. Methods: A total of 200 patients with primary hypertension admitted to our hospital from July 2021 to August 2023 were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 100 patients in each group. The nifedipine group was treated with nifedipine controlled-release tablets, while the amlodipine besylate group was treated with amlodipine besylate tablets. The clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups were compared. Results: There was no significant difference in blood pressure between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). After treatment, the blood pressure of both groups decreased compared to before, and the amlodipine besylate group had lower blood pressure than the nifedipine group (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the amlodipine besylate group was lower than that in the nifedipine group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Compared with nifedipine controlled-release tablets, amlodipine besylate shows its superiority in treating primary hypertension, significantly reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, with fewer adverse reactions and higher safety, which has promotional value.
