Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the clinical diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: A total of 106 patients suspected of hepatocellular carcinoma admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected. All patients underwent CT and MRI imaging examinations. The pathological examination results were taken as the 'gold standard' for clinical diagnosis. The diagnostic efficacy of different examination methods was analyzed and compared, and the imaging characteristics of CT and MRI were analyzed. Results: According to pathological examination, 74 patients were diagnosed as positive and 32 as negative. There was no statistically significant difference in diagnostic concordance rate, sensitivity, and specificity between CT and MRI examinations (P > 0.05). The diagnostic concordance rate, sensitivity, and specificity of combined testing were higher than those of single CT or MRI examinations (P < 0.05). In CT examination, 70 patients showed the characteristic of 'fast in and fast out' enhancement. In MRI examination, 81 patients showed the 'fast in and fast out' feature. Conclusion: The combination of CT and MRI examinations in the clinical diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma has a high diagnostic concordance rate and can significantly improve the clinical diagnostic efficiency, which has high clinical diagnostic value.
