Abstract:Objective: To explore the value of tiotropium bromide combined with budesonide formoterol in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: A total of 60 COPD patients admitted to our hospital from September 2022 to September 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and a study group using a random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with tiotropium bromide, while the study group received additional budesonide formoterol on top of the control group's treatment. The two groups were compared in terms of pulmonary function indicators, levels of inflammatory factors, and improvement of clinical symptoms. Results: After treatment, all pulmonary function indicators in the study group were better than those in the control group (P < 0.05); levels of inflammatory factors were lower in the study group than in the control group (P < 0.05); the time required for improvement of clinical symptoms in the study group was shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: In the medication regimen for COPD patients, the combination of budesonide formoterol and tiotropium bromide can help improve lung function, inhibit the release of inflammatory factors, and accelerate the improvement of clinical symptoms.
