Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application value of individualized nursing program in children with mycoplasma pneumonia treated with sequential azithromycin therapy. Methods: A total of 100 children with mycoplasma pneumonia who received sequential azithromycin therapy and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria at Yichang Second People's Hospital, Hubei Province from October 2022 to October 2024 were selected. They were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups received sequential azithromycin therapy. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received individualized nursing. The levels of inflammatory factors [interleukin-6 (IL-6), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α)], the time of clinical signs disappearance and hospitalization duration, and the incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results: After nursing, the levels of inflammatory factors (IL-6, hs-CRP, TNF-α) in both groups were lower than those before nursing (P < 0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups at the same time (P > 0.05). The time for clinical signs (high fever, cough, lung rales, expectoration, wheezing) to disappear and the hospitalization duration in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Sequential azithromycin therapy can effectively inhibit the inflammatory response in children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Combining it with an individualized nursing program during medication helps reduce the interference of adverse factors, which is of great significance for the early recovery of symptoms and the safety of treatment.
