Clinical Observation of Thoracoscopic Segmentectomy for the Treatment of Early Lung Cancer Patients
ZENG Chao
Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of video-assisted thoracoscopic subsegmentectomy in patients with early-stage lung cancer. Methods From August 2022 to August 2024, 76 patients with early-stage lung cancer admitted to our hospital were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, 38 cases each. The control group was treated with segmentectomy, while the observation group was treated with subsegmentectomy. The surgical indicators and postoperative conditions of the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in intraoperative blood loss, margin width, hospitalization duration, and complications (P > 0.05). The observation group had lower chest drainage volume and lower levels of PCT and CRP on postoperative day 1 and day 3 compared to the control group (P < 0.05). The observation group had higher FVC and FEV1/FVC than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion There is no significant difference in surgical conditions and complications between subsegmentectomy and segmentectomy for patients with early-stage lung cancer. However, subsegmentectomy has better postoperative pulmonary function, less chest drainage, and lower inflammatory levels during the perioperative period, showing certain advantages.
