Clinical Effect Analysis of Xiyanping Combined with Acyclovir in the Treatment of Infectious Mononucleosis in Children
DAI Biao
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of Xiyanyeping combined with acyclovir in the treatment of childhood infectious mononucleosis. Methods: A total of 100 children with infectious mononucleosis treated at Tongren People's Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a double-blind method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with acyclovir, while the observation group received additional treatment with Xiyanyeping on top of the control group's regimen. The two groups were compared in terms of the time for symptom improvement, cellular immune function, serum inflammatory factor levels, and incidence of adverse reactions. Results: The time for symptom improvement in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in cellular immune function indicators between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the cellular immune function of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in serum inflammatory factor levels between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the serum inflammatory factor levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Xiyanyeping and acyclovir for the treatment of childhood infectious mononucleosis shows significant effects and can improve the immune level of the child.
