Analysis of Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Combined with Kinesitherapy on Upper Limb Function of Patients with Post-stroke Hemiplegia

Abstract:Objective To analyze the efficacy of Fuzheng Butu acupuncture combined with exercise therapy on upper limb function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods Eighty patients with hemiplegia after stroke admitted to Yantai Hai Gang Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 40 cases. The control group received exercise therapy, while the observation group received Fuzheng Butu acupuncture combined with exercise therapy. The limb function and motor function of the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in FMA scores between the two groups (P>0.05); after treatment, the FMA scores of both groups increased compared to before, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in BBS scores and 6-minute walk test between the two groups (P>0.05); after treatment, both BBS scores and 6-minute walk test improved compared to before, and the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Fuzheng Butu acupuncture combined with exercise therapy has a significant effect on improving upper limb function and motor function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke.
