Effect of Early Rehabilitation Training Combined with Postural Intervention on Limb Function and Prognostic Quality in Patients with Cerebral Stroke
Abstract:Objective: To explore the intervention value of early rehabilitation training combined with postural intervention on limb function and prognostic quality in patients with cerebral stroke. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 118 patients with cerebral stroke admitted to Bengbu Medical College Affiliated Hospital from August 2022 to March 2025. According to the rehabilitation training methods, the patients were divided into two groups. Patients who received postural intervention combined with conventional rehabilitation training were assigned to the control group (63 cases), while those who received early rehabilitation training combined with postural intervention were assigned to the observation group (55 cases). Both groups received a 4-week treatment period. The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) scale was used to compare the differences in upper and lower limb motor function and clinical symptom scores before and after treatment between the two groups. The changes in pain level, therapeutic effect, and Barthel Index (BI) for activities of daily living were also compared. Results: After treatment, the therapeutic effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=2.067, P=0.039). After treatment, both groups showed increased FMA scores for upper and lower limbs and total FMA scores. The upper limb FMA score of the observation group was (24.58±3.27) points, significantly higher than that of the control group (21.35±3.41) points (t=5.232, P<0.001). The lower limb FMA score of the observation group was (15.50±2.03) points, significantly higher than that of the control group (12.68±2.11) points (t=7.371, P<0.001). The total FMA score of the observation group was (37.96±5.31) points, significantly higher than that of the control group (34.83±5.47) points (t=3.143, P=0.002). After treatment, the clinical symptom scores of both groups decreased. The upper limb pain score (0.67±0.09) and edema score (0.16±0.02) of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (2.68±0.11) and (2.17±0.01), respectively (t=107.647, 703.580, P<0.001). After treatment, the number of patients in each pain grade in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the Barthel Index at 1 month (80.25±7.35) and 3 months (87.59±7.89) of the observation group was better than that of the control group (75.48±6.14) and (82.97±7.54), respectively, with statistically significant differences (t=3.841, 3.249, P<0.05). Conclusion: Early rehabilitation training combined with postural intervention can improve the clinical efficacy, enhance limb function, reduce pain and edema, and to some extent improve the self-care ability of patients with cerebral stroke, thereby enhancing their prognostic quality.
