Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of cyclic resistance training in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients.Methods A total of 128 patients with T2DM were selected as the research subjects, all of whom were admitted to the hospital from February 2022 to May 2024.They were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 64 cases in each group. Both groups received basic symptomatic treatment. On this basis, the control group received aerobic exercise, and the study group received cyclic resistance training. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The blood glucose levels, islet function, lipid levels and body composition were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2 hours postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin Ale in the study group were lower than the control group(t=3.908,5.050,4.519,P<0.05).In addition, the levels of fasting insulin and insulin resistance in the study group were lower than the control group's(t=4.574,5.351,P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of all lipid indicators in the study group were better than those in the control group(t=2.659,3.240,2.660,2.153,P<0.05).After intervention, the skeletal muscle mass in the study group was higher than the control group's,while the body fat mass and percent body fat were lower than the control group's(t=2.092,2.080,2.485,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in exercise compliance between the two groups(x2=1.034,P=0.309).Conclusion Compared with aerobic exercise, circulation resistance training in T2DM patients can significantly reduce blood glucose and lipid levels, improve islet function and regulate body composition, and achieve better exercise intervention effects.
