Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of a procedural disinfection and control strategy in reducing infection rates among hematology patients, providing scientific management methods and evidence for infection control. Methods Patients admitted to the hematology department from January 2022 to December 2023,were divided into two groups. The control group consisted of 1 980 patients admitted from January 2022 to December 2022,who received general disinfection measures. The observation group included 2 850 patients admitted from January 2023 to December 2023,who underwent a procedural disinfection stategy.A retrospective and comparative analysis was conducted to assess the infection rates before and after implementation, evaluating the effectiveness and practicality of the strategy. Results The infection rate(4.35%vs.6.01%)and infection incidence rate(5.3%vs.7.22%)in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(x2=6.647,4.448,P<0.001).Conclusion The study results indicate that implementing a procedural disinfection and control strategy significantly reduces the infection rate among hematology patients.
