Best evidence for pain management during thoracic drainage tube retention after thoracoscopic pulmonary resection

Abstract:Objective To summarize the relevant evidence of pain management during drainage tube indentation in thoracic surgery patients,and provide evidence-based evidence for clinical practice.Methods BMJ Best Practice,UpToDate,PubMed,European Society of Thoracic Surgeons website,SinoMed and other databases were searched by computer from database inception to August 31,2024.Results A total of 11 literatures were included,including 2 systematic reviews,2 randomized controlled trials(RCTS),2 guidelines,4 expert consensus statements,and 1 review.Finally,27 evidence-based recommendations were summarized from 8 aspects of pain cause analysis,pain management objectives,postoperative analgesia principles,analgesia evaluation,analgesia methods,drug pain relief,non-drug pain relief,education and training.Conclusion The summarized evidence provides theoretical support postoperative pain management,and provide theoretical support for medical staff to formulate standardized management programs.
