Progress of Endovascular Intervention in the Treatment of Refractory Localized Prostate Cancer
Abstract:Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common malignant tumors in men worldwide. It is the second most common cancer in men after lung cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer death in men globally. In the United States, PCa is the second leading cause of cancer death in men [1]. With the acceleration of population aging in China, the incidence of PCa has been increasing year by year and has become the fastest-growing tumor among common cancers in Chinese men. Due to the lack of typical symptoms, most PCa patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage, with poor prognosis [2]. The 5-year overall survival rate for advanced PCa (with distant metastasis) is only about 30% [3].
