Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of magnetic stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle function training on postoperative urinary incontinence in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods Urinary incontinence patients who visited the urology department from January 2020 to March 2024 were selected as the research subjects.86 patients were randomly divided into a pelvic floor muscle training group and a combined magnetic stimulation group, with 43 cases in each group. The pelvic floor muscle training group receives comprehensive pelvic floor muscle training twice a day, while the combined magnetic stimulation group receives pelvic floor and sacral nerve magnetic stimulation three times a week based on pelvic floor muscle training. Before and after treatment, the treatment effect was evaluated using the International incontinence advisory committee questionnaire(ICIQ-SF),the incontinence quality of life scale(I-QOL),and the 1-hour urine pad test, and adverse reactions were observed. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the leakage rate of ICIQ-SF,I-QOL,and 1-hour pad test between the two groups. After treatment, the leakage rate of ICIQ-SF and 1-hour pad test was lower than before treatment, while the I-QOL was higher than before treatment. The combined magnetic stimulation group had ICIQ-SF,1-hour pad test leakage rate and I-QOL higher than those of the pelvic floor muscle training group at the same time(t=10.586,6.408,6.522,P<0.000).No significant adverse reactions were found during the treatment and follow-up period. Conclusion Magnetic stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle comprehensive training is effective for patients with urinary incontinence after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery, and can significantly improve their quality of life with good safety.
