Multivariate logistic regression analysis of depression in schizophrenia patients and its influencing factors

Abstract：Objective To count the current situation of schizophrenia(SC)patients complicated with depression,and study its influencing factors.Methods The clinical data of 398 patients with SC admitted to the Seventh People' s Hospital of Hengshui City from April 2020 to April 2023 were retrospectively collected.The patients were divided into depression group(45 cases)and without depression group(353 cases)according to the occurrence of depression.The incidence of depression in patients with SC was statistically analyzed,the risk factors were analyzed,and the relevant regression equation was constructed to analyze the predictive value of the regression equation for depression in patients with SC.Results Depression occurred in 45 of 398 schizophrenic patients(11.31％ ).That long total course of disease,higher chlorpromazine equivalent and higher serum level of leptin were independent risk factors for depression in patients with SC(OR=4.315,3.010,3.102,P＜0.05).The primary visitation of Class Ⅰ relatives was a protective factor for depression in patients with SC(OR=0.365,P＜0.05).According to the results of the analysis of influencing factors,the regression equation model was constructed:logit(P)=-7.965+total course of disease×1.462-main visitor×1.008+chlorpromazine equivalent× 1.102+serum leptin level×1.132.The logistic regression diagnostic model of depression in patients with SC was evaluated.When likelihood ratio x2=134.73,DF=8,P＜0.001.The receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)showed that when logit(P)＞12.52,the area under the curve(AUC)of regression equation for predicting depression in schizophrenic patients was 0.881,sensitivity was 84.44％,and specificity was 76.68％ .Conclusion Patients with SC are at higher risk of depression,and its risk factors included a longer duration of disease,higher chlorpromazine equivalent,and higher level of leptin in blood.The protective factor is that the main visitor is a gradeⅠrelative.The regression equation based on this has better predictive value.
