Application of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the Rehabilitation and Health Care of Elderly Diseases
Abstract：The global aging population is becoming increasingly severe. The number of people aged 65 and over worldwide increased from 260 million in 1980 to 761 million in 2021, and is expected to reach 1.6 billion by 2050 [1]. In China, the population aged 60 and over reached 297 million in June 2023, accounting for 21.1% of the total population, meaning that one out of every four elderly people in the world is Chinese; the population aged 65 and over exceeded 217 million, accounting for 15.4% [2].
