Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of multi-frequency vibration therapy instrument combined with rectal function training in patients with intestinal dysfunction after spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 106 spinal cord injury patients with intestinal dysfunction admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were randomly divided into two groups. The study group(53 cases)received multi-frequency shock therapy combined with rectal function training, and the control group(53 cases)received conventional rectal function training.Intestinal function index, motor and sensory function, neurobiochemical index, intestinal function recovery effect and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in defecation time, defecation frequency and defecation control score between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, defecation time and defecation frequency in the study group were shorter than those in the control group(18.54±2.54)min and(3.65±0.65)d,respectively(15.20±2.14)min and(2.05±0.41)d.(t=7.321,P=0.000,t=15.157,P=0.000),and the defecation control score(7.12±1.52)was higher than that of the control group(5.25±1.32)(t=7.321,P=0.000).There was no significant difference in ASIA motor score(MS)and ASIA Sensory Index score(SIS)of spinal cord injury between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the scores in the study group were(38.21±3.12)and(40.15±1.68).They were higher than the control group(26.35±2.61)points and(35.02±1.25)points,(t=21.226,P=0.000,t=17.835,P=0.000).There was no significant difference in the levels of intervention nerve growth factor(NGF)and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)between the two groups(P>0.05).The levels of the above two indexes in the study group after intervention were(165.20±5.14)pg/mL and(5.12±1.10)ng/mL.It was higher than that in the control group(130.25±5.33)pg/mL,(4.23±0.86)ng/mL,(t=34.362,4.640,P<0.05).The rate of intestinal function recovery in the study group(94.34%)was higher than that in the control group(77.36%)(χ2=6.290,P=0.012).There was no significant difference in the proportion of severe, moderate, mild and normal recovery between the two groups(P>0.05).The score of spinal cord injury or dysfunction Life Quality Rating Scale(IANR)in the study group(40.02±3.32)was higher than that in the control group(32.54±2.25)(t=13.578,P=0.0000).Conclusion In spinal cord injury patients with intestinal dysfunction, rectal function training with multi-frequency vibration therapy instrument can improve the rectal function state and promote the recovery of intestinal function, which is worthy of clinical application.
