Abstract:Objective Explore the differences and intrinsic correlations of body mass index(BMI),blood pressure level, and triglyceride glucose index(TyG index)among women of childbearing age with different blood pressure levels. Methods The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed of 1 572 women of childbearing age aged between 18 and 50 who underwent routine physical examination in the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University from January,2023 to August,2023.They were divided into 3 groups according to blood pressure level, which were normal blood pressure group(n=831),prehypertension group(n=547)and hypertension group(n=194).Compare the differences in age, physical measurement indicators, laboratory test indicators, and composite indicators TyG index among women in different age groups. Results There were significant differences in age,BMI,fasting blood glucose(FPG),triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),High-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),and atherosclerosis index(AI)among the three groups of women in physical examination(P<0.001).Pearson correlation analysis showed that age,BMI,FPG,TC,TG,LDL-C,TyG index,AI were positively correlated with SBP and DBP.The positive correlation between TyG index with SBP and DBP(r=0.344,0.325)was more significant than FPG(r=0.291,0.274)and TG(r=0.239,0.222).The TyG index was divided into three groups to compare the blood pressure level of women. The proportion of hypertension in the high TyG index group(24.4%)was significantly higher than that in the other two groups(7.3%,5.4%)(P<0.001).Ordinal multiclass logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for other variables, age,BMI,TyG index,TC,the incidence of fatty liver disease was positively correlated with the risk of abnormal blood pressure(P<0.05).Conclusion Among women of childbearing age, advanced age, obesity, and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism can all increase the risk of hypertension. We should particularly advocate for a healthy lifestyle, reasonable weight control, and prevention of abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism to reduce the incidence of hypertension from the source and reduce the resulting cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
