Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of midregional pro-adrenomedullin(MR-proADM)combined with hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the diagnosis of sepsis. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on the levels of MR-proADM and hs-CRP in 45 patients with sepsis(set up as the observation group)and 43 subjects with physical examination(set up as the control group). The levels of MR-proADM and hs-CRP were compared between the two groups and the patients with shock sepsis and those without shock sepsis,as well as between those who died and those who did not die of sepsis within 28 days of disease onset, and applied the ROC curves to analyze the efficacy of the two indexes of MR-proADM and hs-CRP for diagnosing sepsis alone and in combination. Results Comparison using SPSS26.0 statistical software revealed that the levels of MR-proADM and hs-CRP in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(t=16.865,19.075,P<0.05),MR-proADM in patients with shock sepsis was higher than that in patients with non-shock sepsis(t=6.519,P=0.000),and there was no statistically significant difference between hs-CRP in patients with shock and non-shock sepsis(t=0.997,P=0.334),MR-proADM was higher in patients who died than in those who did not die(t=6.247,P=0.000),there was no statistically significant difference in hs-CRP between patients with fatal and non-fatal sepsis(t=0.135,P=0.893).Application of subject work characteristics(ROC)curve analysis revealed that the efficacy of MR-proADM and hs-CRP alone and in combination for the diagnosis of sepsis was good(AUC=0.972,0.999,0.999,P<0.001),and the efficacy of MR-proADM alone and the combination of MR-proADM and hs-CRP was higher than that of hs-CRP alone. Conclusion The combination of MR-proADM and hs-CRP has good efficiency in the diagnosis of sepsis.
