Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of intermittent oral-esophageal feeding(IOE)combined with visual and oral sensory training in patients with post-stroke dysphagia. Methods A total of 92 patients with post-stroke dysphagia were selected from October 2021 to May 2023 and divided into an experimental group and a control group by random number table method, with 47 cases in the experimental group and 45 cases in the control group. The experimental group received oral sensory training before and after IOE,and the control group received conventional IOE.The intervention duration was two weeks. The catheterization compliance rate, catheterization success rate, swallowing function and nutritional status of the two groups were compared. Results The catheterization compliance rate was 97.9%in the experimental group and 84.5%in the control group, and the catheterization success rate was 99.5%in the experimental group and 98.9%in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(χ2=8.376,5.655,P<0.05).The classification of water swallow test in experimental group was better than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-2.951,P=0.003).After intervention, the serum total protein(TP),serum albumin(ALB),and hemoglobin(Hb)in both groups of patients were better than before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).However,there were no statistically significant differences between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion IOE combined with visual and oral sensory training can effectively improve the swallowing function of stroke patients with dysphagia, improve the compliance and success rate of catheterization, and is conducive to the rehabilitation of the disease.
