Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of functional training guided by Theory of Goal Attachment(TGA)in patients with facial paralysis after acoustic neuroma surgery. Methods From February 2021 to February 2023,our department treated 100 patients with postoperative facial paralysis caused by acoustic neuroma, who were divided into a control group and a TGA training group. All patients were orally administered with neurotrophic drugs such as methylcobalamin tablets, vitamin B12,and vitamin B1,and underwent infrared or shortwave physical therapy. The control group raised their eyebrows, closed their eyes, raised their nose, showed their teeth, and rubbed their eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. The TGA training group adopts the TGA five step approach, which includes auxiliary exercises, active exercises, and resistance exercises for eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth.Follow up evaluations will be conducted every 2-4 weeks to assess the degree of facial nerve function recovery in both groups of patients, with an intervention duration of 6 months. Before and after intervention, facial nerve function H-B grading was used to grade facial paralysis and evaluate the therapeutic effect.Evaluate the rehabilitation training and feedback compliance rate based on patient check-in and interactive feedback, and compare the cure rate, effective rate, and compliance rate between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in gender, age, tumor size, nature, and degree of resection between the two groups(P>0.05).The TGA training group had a cure rate of 36.0%and an effective rate of 94.0%,both higher than the control group's rates of 26.53%and 79.50%(χ2=1.031,4.503,P<0.05).The TGA training group had a training compliance rate of 96.0%and a feedback compliance rate of 90.0%,both higher than the control group's rates of 73.46%and 63.26%(χ2=9.771,9.917,P<0.05).Conclusion Intervention strategies guided by TGA theory to achieve common goals can improve the coordination of rehabilitation training for patients with facial paralysis after acoustic neuroma surgery, improve facial paralysis symptoms, and increase treatment effectiveness.
