Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of empty swallowing training under ticagrelor combined with biofeedback on the latency and amplitude of inflammatory factors and motor-evoked potential(MEP)of the jaw/hyoid muscle in patients with post-stroke swallowing disorders. Methods A total of 128 patients with dysphagia after ischemic stroke treated from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected prospectively and divided into control group and combination group according to the random number table method, with 64 patients in each group. The control group received oral ticagrelor and conventional therapy, and the combination group gave the empty swallowing training therapy with biofeedback based on the control group. To compare the leak-aspiration scale(PAS)score, standard Swallowing Function Evaluation Scale(SSA)score, inflammatory factor[serum interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]levels and MEP latency and amplitude before and after treatment in Group 2 patients. Results After treatment, the PAS score and SSA score of the combined group were lower than those of the control group[(1.94±0.72)points vs.(3.17±1.12)points,(21.25±4.47)points vs.(25.51±6.24)points],the difference was st atistically significant(t=7.390,4.440,P<0.05).The levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the combined group were lower than those in the control group[(5.62±1.49)ng/L vs.(7.57±2.25)ng/L,(10.62±1.87)ng/L vs.(17.34±2.83)ng/L],and the differences were statistically significant(t=5.781,15.849,P<0.05).The latency of MEP in the mandibular hyoid muscle was(8.24±1.14)ms,which was lower than that in the control group(8.24±1.14)ms,and the amplitude was(143.18±23.66)μV,which was higher tha n that in the control group(131.26±22.70)μV,the differences were statistically significant(t=3.571,2.908,P<0.05).Conclusion After empty swallowing training treatment with ticagrelor combined with biofeedback, swallowing patients can enhance their swallowing function, reduce the inflammatory response, and improve the MEP latency and amplitude of the mandibular and hyhyoid muscles.
