Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive treatment on elderly patients with hypertension complicated with diabetes mellitus and the influence of health-related quality of life. Methods Sixty elderly patients with hypertension combined with diabetes from April 2023 to March 2024 were retrospectively collected from the Fifth and 19th demobilization cadres'rest centers in Nanjing. The observation group included 30 patients with drug treatment and active cooperation with health education, healthy diet, rehabilitation training, traditional Chinese medicine service and psychological support, and the control group included 30 patients with simple drug treatment. The average blood pressure, average HbA1c and healthy life quality of the two groups were compared. Results After 1 year of intervention, the indicators of health-related quality of life in the observation group changed variably, but the differences were significant(P<0.05).In the control group, the indicators of health-related quality of life changed variably, with statistically significant differences in function, bodily pain, social function, mental health, vitality, and the total score before and after the follow-up(t=-2.50,-2.09,-2.51,-2.99,-2.95,-4.61,P<005),while there were no statistically significant differences in physical role, general health, emotional health, and health change before and after the follow-up(P>0.05).The mean systolic blood pressure and the mean diastolic blood pressure of the control group were slightly improved(P>0.05).The mean systolic blood pressure and the mean diastolic blood pressure of the observation group were significantly improved compared with that of the control group(t=-8.97、-2.50,P<0.05).The mean hemoglobin of the control group was not significantly different from that before(P>0.05),the mean HbA1c of the observation group was significantly lower than that before, and the value of HbA1c was also significantly lower than that of the control group(t=4.67,P<0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive treatment guided by healthy aging can significantly improve the quality of life of elderly patients with hypertension combined with diabetes, reduce their average blood pressure and average syllabicated hemoglobin level, and promote their healthy aging.
