Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of nutritional support combined with impedance exercise on pulmonary function and motor function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and sarcopenia. Methods The clinical data of 128 patients with severe and extremely severe COPD and sarcopenia who were treated at the hospital from March 2023 to February 2024 were analyzed retrospectively.According to the intervention plan, patients included were divided into group A,group B,group C and group D,receiving routine intervention, routine intervention combined with nutritional support, routine intervention combined with impedance exercise, and routine intervention combined with nutritional support and impedance exercise, respectively. All groups received 12 weeks of continuous intervention. The changes in pulmonary function, blood gas indicators,COPD CAT scores,mMRC dyspnea scale scores,6MWD and grip strength in the four groups before and after intervention were analyzed. Results After the intervention, the FEV1%Pre and FEV1/FVC levels in group D were higher than those in groups A,B,and C,with statistically significant differences(F=4.340,10.688,P<0.5).The PaO2 and SaO2 levels in group D were higher than those in groups A,B,and C.The PaCO2 level in group D was lower than that in groups A,B,and C,with statistically significant differences(F=9.077,5.903,22.775,P<0.05).The CAT and mMRC scores in group D were lower than those in groups A,B,and C,with statistically significant(F=10.280,9.103,P<0.05).The grip strength and MWT in group D were higher than those in groups A,B,and C,with statistically significant differences(F=11.14,12.211,P<0.05).Conclusion Nutritional support combined with impedance exercise can improve pulmonary function, blood gas indicators,CAT scores,mMRC scores,6MWD and grip strength of patients with COPD and sarcopenia, and promote the recovery of motor function.
