Abstract:Objective To investigate the short-term and long-term efficacy of BEIS(Broad Easy Immediate Surgery)channel technology in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LIDP)with free nucleus pulposus. Methods From January 2019 to January 2021,80 patients with nucleus pulposus free LIDP were enrolled, and were divided into a traditional group and a minimally invasive group with 40 patients each. The patients in the traditional group were treated with push plate fenestration surgery, while the patients in the minimally invasive group were treated with the BEIS channel technology through the intervertebral foramen mirror. To observe the differences in basic clinical indicators between the two groups, and to compare the changes in pain perception[simplified mcgill pain questionnaire chinese version(SF-MPQ)]and lumbar function[oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)]of the two groups of patients before surgery,3 months and 2 years after surgery.Evaluate the prognosis of patients in both groups 3 months and 2 years after surgery[self reported outcome scale for patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation(PRO)],and count the occurrence of various complications within 2 years after surgery. Results The postoperative hospital stay, incision length, intraoperative blood loss and fluoroscopy times in the minimally invasive group were(4.62±1.05)d,(1.05±0.21)cm,(9.61±2.43)ml and(2.83±0.70)times,which were significantly lower than those in the traditional group(8.45±1.17)d,(4.36±0.68)cm,(40.62±11.45)ml and(15.40±3.43)times(P<0.05).The scores of SF-MPQ,ODI and PRO in minimally invasive group were(27.72±5.28),(30.21±4.33)and(50.60±13.52)respectively at 3 months after operation, which were significantly lower than those in traditional group(32.30±5.54),(35.42±4.55)and(58.84±15.27)(P<0.05).The scores of SF-MPQ,ODI and PRO in the minimally invasive group were(21.26±4.31),(22.83±4.17)and(33.78±10.23)at 2 years after operation, which were significantly lower than those in the traditional group(25.54±4.22),(26.65±4.12)and(42.36±11.70)(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the minimally invasive group(5.00%)and the traditional group(12.50%)(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of BEIS channel technology in patients with free nucleus pulposus type LIDP has a good effect, which can play a positive role in improving the basic clinical indicators of patients, alleviating their short-term and long-term pain sensation, promoting the recovery of lumbar function, and improving the short-term and long-term prognosis of patients.
