Abstract:Objective To explore the intervention effect of high-frequency electrocautery based on colonoscopy in patients with intestinal polyps and its impact on the incidence of hypoglycemia. Methods 166 patients with intestinal polyps from January 2022 to December 2022 in Hai'an municipal people's hospital were selected. They were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 83 patients in each group, based on different surgical treatment method. The control group was treated with argon ion coagulation surgery, while the observation group was treated with high-frequency electrocautery based on colonoscopy. The patient outcomes were evaluated 7 days after surgery, and the surgical indicators, visual analogue pain(VAS)score, gastrointestinal hormones, inflammatory factors, and incidence of complications such as hypoglycemia were compared between the two groups. Results The surgical time in the observation group was longer than that in the control group[(65.72±6.39)min vs.(45.97±4.56)min],the recovery time of bowel movements, postoperative bowel sounds, and postoperative VAS score at 7 days were lower in the control group than in the control group[(2.12±0.41)d vs.(4.51±0.58)d,(9.52±1.25)h vs.(13.79±1.62)h,(0.85±0.14)points vs.(2.59±0.41)points](t=7.192,6.663,7.014,6.109,P<0.05).The MOT and GAS levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group[(242.19±20.53)ng/L vs.(242.19±20.53)ng/L,(125.37±8.41)ng/L vs.(112.19±7.36)ng/L],IL-6,COX-2,CRP were lower in the control group[(92.61±8.48)ng/L vs.(132.69±9.25)ng/L,(15.62±1.41)ng/L vs.(23.29±3.25)ng/L,(2.46±0.41)mg/L vs.(5.69±0.63)mg/L](t = 3.138,10.744,29.098,19.724,39.149,P<0.05).The incidence of perioperative hypoglycemia, perforation, gastrointestinal bloating, bleeding, and infection in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(3.61%vs.15.66%)(χ2=5.681,P<0.05).Conclusion High frequency electrocautery based on colonoscopy can alleviate surgical trauma and pain in patients with intestinal polyps, with minimal impact on gastrointestinal function. It can reduce the incidence of inflammatory factors and hypoglycemia, and is worthy of promotion and application.
