Abstract:Objective To analyze the value of miR-601 and endothelial cell-specific molecule-1(ESM-1)in predicting recurrence after endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)in patients with early gastric cancer. Methods 288 patients with early gastric cancer who were treated with ESD in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2020 were selected as the study subjects, and 50 patients with benign lesions were selected as the control group. The expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA in gastric mucosa of the two groups was detected, and their relationship with clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed.Follow up the postoperative recurrence, and use Cox regression to analyze the risk factors. Results The expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA in patients with early gastric cancer was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA in gastric mucosa between the groups of different sex, age, maximum diameter of tumor, endoscopic classification and early gastric cancer(P>0.05).With the increase of T stage and depth of invasion, the expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA increased, and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression of ESM-1 with different degrees of differentiation was statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA in gastric mucosa of recurrent patients was significantly higher than that of non-recurrent patients(P<0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the depth of invasion, high expression of miR-601 and ESM-1 mRNA were independent risk factors for postoperative recurrence in patients with stage gastric cancer. Conclusion The expression of mir-601 and ESM-1 in the lesions of patients with early gastric cancer has a certain relationship with their clinicopathological characteristics, and is a risk factor for recurrence after ESD in such patients, which may become a predictor of postoperative recurrence.
