Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of swallowing speech diagnostic and therapeutic equipment on swallowing dysfunction in stroke patients and its impact on nutritional status. Methods 116 stroke patients with swallowing dysfunction from April 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and divided into two groups with 58 cases in each group. The control group was treated with comprehensive rehabilitation intervention, while the observation group was treated with swallowing speech therapy equipment. After 3 months of treatment, the patient's effectiveness was evaluated, and swallowing function, neurological deficit(NIHSS)scores, nutritional status, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of intervention, swallowing function improved and NIHSS score decreased in both groups,The ASDS,swallowing function, and NIHSS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After intervention with ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke, the swallowing function and NIHSS score were reduced in both groups, and the swallowing function and NIHSS score in ischemic stroke patients were lower than those in hemorrhagic stroke(P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the nutritional status of the observation group improved,The levels of ALB,PA,and Hb in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of aspiration pneumonia, aspiration, coughing, pulmonary infection, and gastroesophageal reflux disease in the observation group during the 3-month intervention period was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The swallowing speech therapy instrument can promote the recovery of swallowing function in stroke patients with swallowing dysfunction, improve their nutritional status, help reduce the incidence of complications and NIHSS score, and is worth promoting and applying.
