Diagnostic value of 256-slice CT examination on parotid tumors
Abstract：Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of 256-slice CT features of parotid tumors prior to the surgery.Methods The CT manifestation of 46 cases with parotid gland tumor were retrospectively analyzed,which were confirmed surgically and pathologically(including tumor distribution,form,edge,degree of enhancement,and relationship with surrounding structure)Results All of the cases,42 cases was benign(including 25 cases of adenolymphoma,9 cases of pleomorphic adenoma,5 cases of basal cell tumor,1 cases of lymphatic cyst,1 case of lipoma).Four cases was malignant(It was ductal carcinoma,adenocarcinoma,lymphlepithelioma and malignant multiline adenoma,respectively).Non calcification was found in the benign tumors,however,calcification was found in a half of the 4 malignant parotid tumors.The distinguish accuracy rate of CT examination was 97.8％in parotid tumors.Conclusion 256-slice CT examination has high diagnostic value on parotid tumors.
