Analysis of 24-hour intragastric pH in elderly subjects over 85 year-old

Abstract：Objective To approach and clarify activity of intragastric hydrogen iron over 85 year-old subjects. Methods Circadian pattern of intragastric pH in 13 over 85 year-old subjects was studied by using 24 hour pH monitoring. Results Mean values of 24-h median pH and 24-h arithmetic mean pH were 1.74,2.54 respectively. Mean values of 24-h intragastric pH accumulated percent time less than 2,3,4 were 59.92%,73.92%,80.40% respectively.Conclusion It is suggested that the factor of age does not significantly influence the activity of intragastric hydrogen ion even in elderly subject over 85 year-old.
