Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic-assisted rectal eversion pull-through operation in patients with rectal cancer. Methods A total of 68 patients with rectal cancer who received therapy in our hospital were selected for the current study according to a computer-generated random digit table. The patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 34 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated for rectal cancer via laparoscopic-assisted rectal anterior resection;patients in the experimental group were treated by laparoscopic-assisted rectal eversion pull-through operation. The bleeding volume, operation time, postoperative recovery of intestinal function, mean hospital stay and daily defecation frequency of the two groups were compared 2 weeks after the operation;moreover, the incidence of complications between the two groups patients were analyzed and compared. Results Compared with the control group, the experimental group exhibited less bleeding during the operation. The operation time, postoperative recovery of intestinal function and mean postoperative hospital stay were shorter (P < 0.05) than the control group. Moreover, compared with the control group, the experimental group exhibited a lower complication rate(P<0.05), and postoperative daily defecation frequency increased within 2 weeks(P<0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic-assisted rectal eversion pull-through operation in patients with rectal cancer is safe, efficient, and worthy of clinical application.
