The effects of non-invasive ventilator on heart rate, respiratory frequency and blood gas analysis of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract:Objective To investigate non-invasive ventilation in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory failure in patients by analyzing heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood gas analysis to determine the impact of the situation. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory failure were admitted to the respiratory department of our hospital. After being randomly assigned to groups, the 40 patients in the control group were treated with conventional antibiotics for phlegm, corticosteroids for asthma, and other symptomatic treatment;one week was considered a course of treatment, and the patients were treated for four courses. In the experimental group (40 patients),patients were treated with non-invasive ventilator-assisted breathing for 1-2 h,4-6 times a day. The rest of the treatment for the control group involved a one-week course of treatment for four courses. After the end of treatment, the two groups were analyzed and compared for changes in heart rate, respiratory rate, blood gas. Results 1) After treatment, patients exhibited significantly improved levels of heart rate;the heart rate of the experimental group (101.5 ± 11.2/min) was significantly lower than the control group (120.1 ± 10.9/min),and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05);2) After treatment, patients exhibited a significantly reduced respiratory rate;the respiratory rate of the experimental group(22.1 ± 2.6/min)was significantly higher than the control group (29.8 ± 2.7/min),and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). 3) After treatment, the average of two different levels of blood gas and water recovery were analyzed. The experimental group's PaO2(80.17 ± 2.19 mmHg),PaCO2(58.31 ± 3.27 mmHg),and SaO2(96.33 ± 1.89%) levels recovered significantly better than and the control group's PaO2 (55.33 ± 3.01 mmHg),PaCO2 (70.22 ± 3.98 mmHg),and SaO2 (80.23 ± 1.25%); the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Non-invasive ventilator respiratory failure can significantly improve heart rate, respiratory rate and blood gas analysis in patients and promote the recovery of lung function and improve clinical outcomes, thus indicating the significance and value of this method for clinical practice.
