Abstract:Objective To discuss the relevant reasons of high syphilis morbidity in recent years, and to improve the awareness of the disease and reduce the damage. Methods 404 cases were analyzed according to onset age and clinical stages. Analyze the clinical manifestations and features to summarize the weak links in the diagnosis and treatment. Results The entire morbidity assumes the trend of escalation year by year. The morbidity of stage Ⅰ syphilis in the male was more than the female, while the female was more than the male in both stage Ⅱ syphilis and latent syphilis, with the entire ratio of male to female 1:1.04. Onset age:288 cases were in sexually active ages, accounting for 71.29%,while 107 elderly people over 60 years were accounting for 26.49%. It informs us that we should enhance the prevention and control work of STD (sexually transmitted disease) in aged people. Transmission and occupation:extramarital sexual contact is the main route of transmission. Besides, the MSM infection transmission cannot be ignored. Occupation investigation shows that farmers and unemployed people accounting for 73.51%. It suggests that we should focus the prevention and control work on the rural and pastoral areas. Degree of education:syphilis patients, most with a low degree of education, may be associated with a general lack of understanding of health knowledge and awareness of STD. Conclusion Early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment are very important to control syphilis.
