Research on impairment of implicit memory in patients with cerebral infarction in different brain areas
Abstract:Objective To investigate impairment of implicit memory in patients with cerebral infarction in different parts. Methods According to the area of infarction,88 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into the frontal lobe infarction group (n=31),the temporal lobe infarction group (n=29) and the occipital lobe infarction group (n=28). 30 healthy adults were chosen as the healthy control group. Results of neuropsychological background test, conception implicit memory, perception implicit memory and explicit memory (including immediately recall, delay recall and delay recognition) of four groups were compared. Results The frontal lobe infarction group performed poorer CIM task than healthy group (P<0.01),but the differences of PIM task of two groups were not obvious,no statistical significance (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences between temporal lobe infarction and healthy group in CIM and PIM tasks (P > 0.05). The occipital lobe infarction group performed poorer PIM task than healthy group (P< 0.01),but the differences of CIM task of two groups were not obvious,no statistical significance (P > 0.05). Conclusion Patients with cerebral infarction in different parts present different impairment of implicit memory.Patients with frontal lobe infarction perform CIM damage and PIM relative retention, patients with temporal lobe infarction perform CIM and PIM relative retention, while patients with occipital lobe infarction present PIM damage and CIM relative retention.
