Abstract：As an emerging equipment for the future development of ships,shaftless thrusters make full use of the idea of modu-larization and integration to integrate propulsion motors and thrusters.It has the advantages of reliable sealing,high power density,small size,light weight and high maneuverability.Shaftless thruster has become the development direction of a new generation of thrusters in the field of ships.This paper focuses on the working principle,development status and structural composition of shaft-less thrusters,and analyzes the key technologies and development prospects of shaftless thrusters,which has a certain reference for the development and application of ship thrusters.
