Abstract:The complex navigable environment of the inland waterway bridge area affects the navigation of ships to a certain ex-tent,and although there are navigation methods in the bridge area, the control methods are not quantified. Therefore, this paper uses mathematical and physical principles to construct a downward bridge crossing strategy model from the three perspectives of speed, heading and position control, and quantitatively studies the ship bridge crossing navigation method.Typical navigation scenarios are selected, and Matlab software is used to calculate the operation strategies such as heading, position and speed of ship navigation, and the results are similar to those of the actual control methods. It is shown that the quantitative research results of the bridge crossing navigation method can assist ship driving and ensure the smooth crossing of the bridge, which is an effective means to prevent the oc-currence of ship collision accidents.
