Abstract:In order to reduce the possibility of ship collision accidents caused by incorrect judgment of collision risk by ship drivers, this paper proposes a fuzzy calculation model for ship collision risk considering environmental factors. This model utilizes the membership functions of five factor, which are the closest encounter distance(DCPA),the time required to reach the nearest en-counter point(TCPA),the speed ratio of the two ships, the relative azimuth angle of the two ships, and the distance between the two ships.By weighting with certain weights, the collision risk C1 of the ship is calculated.Meanwhile, based on the two environ-mental factors of visibility and wind speed during ship navigation,a fuzzy inference model C2 for ship collision risk is derived.Final-ly,C1 and C2 are subjected to fuzzy inference to obtain the final ship collision risk index(CRI).Simulation experiments are con-ducted on three types of encounter situations, and the simulation results prove the effectiveness of the model.
