Group Delay Technology Introduction and Application in Phased Array Systems

Abstract：At present,electronic warfare platforms require their front-end to develop towards high precision,low cost,low power consumption,lightweight and miniaturization.Due to the unique broadband characteristics of electronic warfare systems,the phase shifting scheme of traditional phased array systems will generate dispersion within the operating frequency band,thereby re-ducing the signal-to-noise ratio and communication capacity of radar systems.In order to solve this specific problem in practical combat,this article first quantitatively analyzes the working principle of traditional phased array front-end.By introducing two delay compensation schemes,the advantages of introducing delay structures are theoretically derived.On this basis,this article introduc-es three implementation schemes of group delay circuits with different working principles,and analyzes the applicability conditions of different schemes in different application environments based on their advantages and disadvantages.
