Abstract:In response to the safety issues faced by aircraft during the low visibility landing phase, this study aims to enhance the safety of pilots operating in low visibility conditions. The Systems-Theoretic Process Analysis(STPA)method is employed to conduct a safety analysis of the landing and go-around process in low visibility from a systems theory perspective.Unsafe control ac-tions within this process are identified, and the causal scenarios that pose hazards during the pilot's go-around in low visibility are analyzed.Subsequently,a kinematic simulation framework of the aircraft's landing-go-around process is utilized to quantitatively calculate the safety constraint SC-P-3 for the specific unsafe control action UCA2-T-4.The research findings demonstrate that the combination of STPA method and quantitative simulation effectively facilitates the safety analysis of the aircraft's low visibility land-ing-go-around process.
