Design and Development of Online Virtual Training System for Ship Main Propulsion Plant

Abstract：Aimed at the complexity and dispersed layout of the equipment in the main propulsion plant,and starting from the on-the-job/in-service training of personnel,a virtual online training system for ship main propulsion plant is designed and devel-oped.The system adopts the SOA concept to build the overall architecture,and uses platforms such as 3Ds MAX and Unity3D for equipment modeling and virtual interactive program development.It realizes functions such as online theoretical learning,operation training,comprehensive assessment,and learning process management,and solves the problem of the shortage of training methods and long training periods for personnel.
