A Fast Algorithm for Break Area of Plate-like Grid Model

Abstract：This article proposes a fast and quantitative algorithm for calculating the break area of plate grid models.The effec-tiveness of the algorithm is verified by a batch of calculation results,which is obtained from the numerical simulation for a torpedo's explosion damage to a destroyer.This algorithm,which applies principal component analysis method,can quickly calculate the area of irregular break areas generated by various plate-like structures,supporting the damage assessment of related structures.
