Study on Smart Morphing of Cruise Missiles

Abstract：The smart morphing of cruise missiles is studied in this paper. Firstly,considering the requirements for aerodynam?ic performance during different flight stages,morphing schemes of missile wing at different stages are proposed to solve the contra?dictions of aerodynamic configurations in different design points. Secondly,the concept of morphing tank is put forward for the first time. The length of missile is minimum before and during flight by compressing the tank. These means are beneficial to improve the maneuverability and stealth performance of cruise missiles. Finally,the key technologies of smart morphing for cruise missiles are pointed out.
