Signal Analysis of Radar Range Profiles Based on Improved EMD

Abstract：An analysis algorithm based on improved EMD is proposed in this paper. At first,an improved EMD approach is derived,which gets rid of the existing problems of traditional EMD and has more solid performance in time-frequency analysis. Secondly,a few data are analyzed using this method and some useful conclusions are obtained for the future work. Based on the characteristics of range profile of one-dimensional radar, the theory of combining average instantaneous frequency with Hilbert-Huang time-frequency spectrum is proposed, and the performance analysis is carried out.
