Abstract:The non-acoustic stealth performance of submarines has been paid more attention in recent years. An important index of non-acoustic stealth is electromagnetic stealth and radar cross section (RCS) characterizes the scattering ability of target.Antenna is generally in the highest position of the ship.It is one of the main source of scattering, and thus the antenna system will directly affect the entire radar stealth performance. In this paper, the submarine whip antenna is taken as the research object, the physical optics (PO) is taken as the means to obtain the basic RCS, and the difference between actual combat situation and the ideal conditions is considered, the statistical data of the RCS of the antenna is different from that of the ideal condition, which helps to improve the integrity and credibility of the target RCS data.
