Abstract：ASW torpedo is confronted with threat of submarine‐born counterwork equipment such as self‐propulsion a‐coustic bait .The paper introduces the principle of self‐propulsion acoustic bait .It also expounds the principle of scale identi‐fication ,which is the effective method for ASW torpedo to counter self‐propulsion acoustic bait .It goes deep into the princi‐ple of self‐propulsion towed acoustic bait ,which is the latest development of self‐propulsion acoustic bait .It also introduces ASW torpedo counter countermeasure .
