A Modified Algorithm of Time Delay Estimation for Narrow-band Communication Signal

Abstract：The issue of time delay estimation of narrow-band communication signal in passive TDOA was studied .The correlated cyclic cross correlation method was studied and modified with fractional Hilbert transformation .The correlation peak of cyclic cross correlation method was sharpened by using fractional Hilbert transformation with the optimal fractional order ,and the higher estimation precision was reached .The time delay estimation error curve under different transformation orders and the optimal order could be obtained by searching .The simulation results showed that the modified algorithm per-formed better than correlated cyclic cross correlation method under low SNR .
